Pulmonary Medicine

Lungs at rest and during most daily activities are normally at about 50% of their capacity and respond well to the challenge of more intense activity. Lungs are the often the first organ system affected due to environmental issues and often the first to manifest symptoms. Pulmonary specialist work with internists, cardiologists and other specialists to solve the enigma.

Sleep Medicine

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your brain, heart, muscles, glands, vessels and other tissues. Sleep deficiency has many forms and leads to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, fatigue syndromes, mental issues, HTN, diabetes, and stroke. 7-8 hours of undisturbed sleep is optimal.

Nutritional Medicine

Between what you hear on TV and read in the news, eating right can seem like a real challenge. But it doesn’t have to be. “Whether you want to slim down, lower your cholesterol or simply eat better, a registered dietitian [or registered dietitian nutritionist] can help you weed through the murky waters of nutrition misinformation and provide sound, easy-to-follow nutrition advice,” says Jennifer McDaniel, MS, RDN, spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

To say the least, Dr. Agarwal takes his time to get to know you, and provides guidance every step of the way. At some doctors’, you pay for a quick chit chat and leave without a clue what to do next. With Dr. Agarwal, he takes actions to ensure you get better as quickly as possible. Oh, and it helps that him and his staff got a great sense of humor. Otherwise it would just be another boring doctor visit.
